# Credits

Credits are Renview's usage currency. Every AI operation costs a set number of credits.

## Credit Costs by Operation

| Background removal (Simple)   | 1       |

| Image upscale                 | 1       |
| Prompt enhancement            | Free    |

## Credit Lot System

Credits are organised into **lots** with different sources and expiry rules:

| Lot Type               | Source                        | Expiry                  |
| ---------------------- | ----------------------------- | ----------------------- |
| **Sign-up bonus**      | 15 credits on registration    | No expiry               |
| **Monthly (Personal)** | 50 credits with Personal plan | 30 days from grant      |
| **Monthly (Pro)**      | 200 credits with Pro plan     | 30 days from grant      |
| **Top-up**             | Purchased credit packs        | 12 months from purchase |

When you use credits, they are consumed in this priority order:

1. **Bonus credits** (oldest first)
2. **Top-up credits** (oldest first)
3. **Monthly credits** (oldest first)

This is Renview's current credit-lot priority.

## Failed Generations

If a generation fails due to a technical error or times out, the credits are **automatically refunded**. Generations that complete successfully but produce an unexpected result are not automatically refunded.

## Checking Your Balance

Your credit balance is displayed in the sidebar and on the Account page. The breakdown shows how many credits remain from each lot.
